The Transportation Supervisor will direct, supervise, and monitor Transportation Officers in their performance regarding all aspects of transportation operations. This includes administration, regulatory compliance, officer management, safety and security, customer service, trip efficiency, reporting requirements, risk management, asset management, and adherence to policy and procedures. The supervisor will communicate and support the vision of TransCor America, LLC, ensuring alignment with TCA goals. They will guide and direct staff in the safe and orderly operation of the defined service, promoting public safety, staff safety, and a secure and humane environment for inmates, detainees, and/or residents. The role also involves ensuring staff training is conducted, tracked, and followed accurately, reviewing operational policies and procedures, and effectively communicating responsibilities, authority, and accountability to subordinates. The supervisor will practice sound financial management, including overtime management, vehicle maintenance, and supply procurement, while maintaining strict cost discipline. They will conduct inspections, develop solutions for deficiencies, and attend staff meetings to ensure operational effectiveness. Promoting effective communication with management, staff, officials, and agency representatives is crucial. The supervisor will also engage staff through mentoring, coaching, feedback, recognition, and team-building activities. The role requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents and perform other assigned duties.
