About The Position

The Cedars of Chapel Hill is an upscale retirement community seeking a Part-Time Transportation Specialist/Driver. This role is responsible for transporting members for scheduled trips and individual requests, including routine shopping excursions and appointments. The specialist will also maintain vehicles, observe safety regulations, schedule preventive maintenance, and deliver packages. The ideal candidate will possess a CDL, communicate well with seniors, and be knowledgeable of the Chapel Hill/Durham area.

Requirements

• Must currently possess a CDL.
• Ability to communicate well with the senior population.
• Must be very knowledgeable of the Chapel Hill/Durham area.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents for scheduled trips and individual member requests.
• Transport residents following routine scheduled shopping excursions and resident requested appointments.
• Keep vehicles in repair.
• Observe safety regulations and requirements.
• Schedule routine preventive maintenance for vehicles.
• Deliver packages, flowers, mail, etc. to Member homes.
