About The Position

The Transportation Specialist at Tatum Psychology Employment Group is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for clients, staff, and materials as needed. This role ensures compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of company vehicles. The Transportation Specialist plays a vital role in client care by supporting timely arrivals, assisting passengers as needed, and adapting to dynamic schedules or routes. The position requires excellent time management, professionalism, and a commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations.
Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization.
Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance.
Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity on the job with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

Consistently demonstrate safe and responsible driving practices to ensure the well-being of all passengers and road users.
Comply with all applicable state and federal traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Navigate efficiently by accurately following assigned routes, maps, and GPS directions.
Adapt to changing traffic conditions by executing timely rerouting to maintain punctuality and service reliability.
Open vehicle doors and assist passengers when necessary.
Safely load and secure cargo, luggage, and equipment to prevent damage or shifting during transport.
Efficiently manage the loading and unloading process to maintain schedule adherence and operational flow.
Maintain a clean and professional vehicle exterior to uphold company standards and positive public image.
Keep the vehicle interior free of debris and clutter to provide a comfortable and hygienic environment for all occupants.
Regularly clean windows, windshield, and mirrors to ensure clear visibility and safe driving conditions.
Conduct routine vehicle checks and perform basic maintenance tasks, including oil changes, fueling, and safety inspections, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Accurately complete required documentation such as trip logs, mileage records, and cargo or passenger reports to support compliance and operational tracking.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures.
Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners.

Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stay. (Compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided.)
