About The Position
Assists in picking up and delivering various items between various internal and external hospital locations. Helps in escorting or transporting patients within facility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
- Use of personal vehicle required.

Responsibilities
- Assists in picking-up and delivering equipment, supplies, medications, specimens to various internal and external hospital locations.
- Handles items in accordance with operating procedures.
- Ensures timely delivery of items to appropriate locations; communicates delays in delivery / pickup time, as required.
- Operates transport vehicles both on and off property.
- Performs pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle.
- Maintains vehicle mileage records.
- Operates all vehicles in accordance with applicable laws; fuels vehicles as necessary.
- Informs management of all vehicle activities and issues.
- Performs related duties as required.
