About The Position

Hiring for Transportation Service Associates to assist in picking up and delivering various items between various internal and external hospital locations. Helps in escorting or transporting patients within facility for the following shifts: 1. Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm 2. Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm 3. Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm 4. Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm 5. Monday-Friday 11:00am-7:00pm 6. Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:00pm 7. Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm 8. Monday-Friday 4:00pm-12:00am

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid Driver's License in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed
0-1 years of relevant experience, required

Responsibilities

Assists in picking-up and delivering equipment, supplies, medications, specimens to various internal and external hospital locations
Helps in escorting or transporting patients within facility
Handles items in accordance with operating procedures
Ensures timely delivery of items to appropriate locations; communicates delays in delivery / pickup time, as required
Operates transport vehicles both on and off property
Performs pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle
Maintains vehicle mileage records
Operates all vehicles in accordance with applicable laws; fuels vehicles as necessary
Informs management of all vehicle activities and issues
