About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to help lead and grow a transportation engineering practice in Southwest Florida. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Professional Engineer who enjoys both technical project delivery and helping build a growing team and market presence. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 5+ years of transportation or roadway engineering experience
  • Experience managing engineering projects and client relationships
  • Strong understanding of roadway design principles
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams

Nice To Haves

  • Florida DOT (FDOT) transportation project experience
  • Experience with roadway design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, or AutoCAD
  • Previous experience leading project teams
  • Business development or client management experience
  • Experience helping grow a department, office, or engineering practice
  • Existing relationships within the Florida transportation market are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead transportation and roadway engineering projects from planning through construction
  • Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and project resources
  • Oversee roadway design and transportation engineering efforts
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical development
  • Assist with proposals, business development, and client relationship management
  • Participate in strategic planning to support continued growth in the Florida market
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
