Transportation Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to help lead and grow a transportation engineering practice in Southwest Florida. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5+ years of transportation or roadway engineering experience
- Experience managing engineering projects and client relationships
- Strong understanding of roadway design principles
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
Nice To Haves
- Florida DOT (FDOT) transportation project experience
- Experience with roadway design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, or AutoCAD
- Previous experience leading project teams
- Business development or client management experience
- Experience helping grow a department, office, or engineering practice
- Existing relationships within the Florida transportation market are a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead transportation and roadway engineering projects from planning through construction
- Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and project resources
- Oversee roadway design and transportation engineering efforts
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical development
- Assist with proposals, business development, and client relationship management
- Participate in strategic planning to support continued growth in the Florida market
- Ensure projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
