About The Position

This role involves reviewing and analyzing bills of lading with identified receiving discrepancies (over, short, damage, refusals and/or wrong goods) for claim liability and making sound business decisions to mitigate or prevent loss. It also includes reviewing and reconciling transportation exception invoices for invoices not paid through our auto pay system to ensure payment accuracy, and reviewing and approving less-than-truckload freight invoices. The position requires effectively working with internal/external customers and suppliers to ensure accurate payment for transportation services and providing appropriate documentation to support financial recovery when appropriate. Requirements

  • One year experience working in Distribution, Transportation, or an analytical field.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules.
  • Ability to successfully complete battery of Clerical & Microsoft Skills Tests (before his or her start date in the position).
  • Ability to apply general Accounting practices.
  • Ability to apply learned Transportation guidelines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to comprehend Publix warehouse Operations and Procurement practices.
  • Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Lakeland Distribution associate.
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Transportation or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three years’ experience working in Transportation.
  • Certified Claims Professional Certification (CCPAC).
