Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Transportation Operator II Lead to provide transportation services to Western State Hospital (WSH) and the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA). The duties include the delivery of laundry, food, trash carts and supplies to multiple facilities and to provide transportation services for patients as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid Operator’s License with safe driving record
  • CDL with safe driving record

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare facility

Responsibilities

  • Removing trash from the units and take to the dumpster for disposal
  • Pick up patient property from the units and Admissions Office and take to Patient Property for storage
  • Delivery of drug boxes and lab boxes throughout WSH and CCCA
  • Transport patients and staff to medical appointments
  • Assist with transportation of discharged patients
  • Recognize and report corrective maintenance (CM) to the work order control center and to perform corrective maintenance in accordance with the work order control system – TMS
  • Recognize and report safety deficiencies and perform corrective measures as required, and to document the work in accordance with the work order control system – TMS
  • Assist with snow and ice removal
