About The Position

This position involves assisting with various repair work on corporation vehicles, with the opportunity for training as needed. The role requires the ability to follow instructions, learn vehicle repair skills, and perform tasks such as upholstery and lighting repairs, as well as preventive maintenance. The helper will also be responsible for assisting drivers, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe and clean shop environment. The position is a 12-month role with 8-hour workdays and a pay rate of $25.00/hour.

Requirements

Some experience in automotive technician field – any other related experience a plus.
Will train as needed.

Responsibilities

Ability to take instruction regarding various types of repair work
Ability to eventually demonstrate competency in all necessary areas of vehicle repairs
Ability to positively receive constructive criticism
Ability to perform all interior upholstery repairs
Ability to perform all lighting repairs
Ability to perform preventive maintenance on all corporation vehicles
Ability to assist in keeping accurate records of all corporation vehicles
Ability to assist in maintaining a safe and clean shop
Ability to obtain all certificates required by law
Ability to work under direction of the Head Mechanic and other supervisors
Ability to assist corporation drivers in vehicle related problems
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds routinely
Ability to perform other assignments as required
