Transportation Manager

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in route-based processes; to include: prior route delivery driving.
- supervision of route drivers.
- diesel mechanics/truck maintenance
Nice To Haves
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license with clean driving record.
- Can communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
- Highly organized; superior time management skills.
- Able to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations.
- Leadership ability; able to direct and supervise others.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of the Fleet Manager and Route Supervisor in relation to daily operations of the fleet.
- Responsible for transportation of raw materials; schedules all outgoing finished product and the transportation of such.
- Responsible for all routes and routing process; makes changes as necessary to ensure route efficiency; schedules all drivers ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Sets schedules and start times for raw materials transfer drivers to ensure a constant flow of material to the plant.
- Involved in hiring, training, and safety orientation of new drivers.
- Monitors DOT logs and driver timecards to guarantee drivers operate within regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining current accounts and enlisting new accounts in designated area.
- Provides prompt, efficient, quality service to all customers in area.
- All other duties as assigned by management
