The Transportation Manager will build and maintain driver relationships by understanding and meeting their needs, which include home time, payroll, utility, equipment breakdowns, logging violations, and equipment issues. This role involves using operating systems, customer operating systems, driver telematics, and various communication methods (face-to-face, phone, text). The manager will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on various factors while considering driver needs and availability. They will also interface with various departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, and maintenance, as well as external vendors. A key responsibility is to work closely with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and/or Operations Manager to ensure a full board of drivers and perform other related duties as assigned. Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift is also required.
