About The Position

Homewood is seeking a Transportation Lead to join the Parking & Transportation Department. The Transportation Lead is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations and ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of guests and employees. This position supervises the transportation team, coordinates schedules and routes, and ensures compliance with company policies and applicable transportation, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid Class C Driver License and a driving record meeting the standards required by Homewood’s insurance carrier.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation safety practices and operational procedures.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

  • Prior ski resort or hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of drivers and operators.
  • Manage transportation schedules, routes, assignments, and dispatch activities.
  • Ensure drivers and operators follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vehicles, equipment, and transportation operations and address deficiencies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate transportation, driver, vehicle, maintenance, inspection, and incident records.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members as needed to promote safe and effective job performance.
  • Support other departments with transportation-related needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
