About The Position

The Transportation Lead will assist with the training and orientation of new team members, focusing on furniture handling skills, tool proficiency, and customer service. This role involves providing performance improvement suggestions to the transportation supervisory team, ensuring accurate completion of deliveries using delivery tablets, and upholding safe work practices. The lead will also manage training and compliance for team members, support the maintenance of delivery equipment, assist with load outs and recoveries, assign add-ons, and help with routes and complex deliveries.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in delivery, distribution, logistics, and/or facility management with warehousing required
• 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Lift certified
• Must possess strong analytical skills using data and reporting.
• Microsoft, Power BI, WMS experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience.
• Ability to lead team in company driven processes and procedures.
• Experience coaching for improvement
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Driver’s License Required
• A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
• Ability to work hand trucks, compactors and other warehouse equipment
• PIV

• Provide support for the upkeep of delivery equipment.
• Assist with load outs and recoveries throughout the day.
• Assign add-ons and ensure deliveries are complete.
• Assist with routes and complex deliveries.
