An intern in Organizational Development at D7 Florida Department of Transportation will play a meaningful, hands‑on role in strengthening workforce learning, leadership development, and talent acquisition across the agency. They will assist in designing and updating employee training materials, participant guides, job aids, and presentations that directly support FDOT’s mission of developing a highly skilled workforce. The intern will help coordinate and deliver key Organizational Development programs, workshops, and leadership initiatives that enhance employee engagement and performance. They will also create communications and promotional content—such as flyers, newsletters, email announcements, and SharePoint or Teams posts—to ensure employees stay informed and connected to learning opportunities. In addition, the intern will conduct research on organizational development, leadership, employee engagement, and workplace performance to support evidence‑based program improvements. Their role will extend to talent acquisition by supporting career fairs, college outreach, and recruiting events, preparing materials, engaging prospective applicants, and organizing follow‑up information. Collectively, these responsibilities provide FDOT with valuable support in developing its workforce, strengthening leadership pipelines, and enhancing recruitment efforts, while giving the intern meaningful professional experience in organizational development and public‑sector talent management.
