About The Position

Our experienced Oklahoma City Highway Transportation Team is seeking a civil engineering student to join our team to train and mentor as a Roadway Design Intern. The intern will actively participate in plan preparation and design by working alongside our dynamic team and being exposed to many aspects of transportation engineering including highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs. The intern will become familiar with relevant DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation and learn and utilize industry-related design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with a commitment to becoming a key member of this highly productive design team. Garver offers an immersive hands-on intern development program called Garver Launch, which includes daily engagement with fellow interns and industry professionals, participation in a wellness program, community volunteer activities, and professional growth through tailored training and programs.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable and responsible individual.
