About The Position

As a transportation program management specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, a seasoned program management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication. As a member on our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of national transportation project initiatives. You’ll work with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting. You’ll help with tactical planning, including analyzing, reviewing, synthesizing, and communicating data and results to enable the delivery of physical infrastructure projects such as bridges, tunnels, railroads, and multi-modal transportation transfer stations, prioritized in alignment with the client’s expectations and business needs. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • Experience working in the transportation field as a subject matter expert
  • Experience with client and project management for public sector engineering or transportation planning efforts
  • Knowledge of rail transportation, transit systems, engineering, capital planning, construction, grants management, or environmental permitting
  • Ability to present ideas persuasively in written deliverables and verbal presentation formats, including presentations and status reports
  • Ability to participate in routine regional site visits and stakeholder meetings
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO) style team
  • Experience with risk assessment or risk management
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a multi-disciplinary project team environment
  • Ability to solve complex client problems and prioritize and manage work across multiple work efforts or clients independently
  • Possession of excellent leadership and analytical skills
  • Master's degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Construction Management Certification
