By joining our Richmond Section as a Transportation Engineering Technologist Supervisor in Madison County, you’ll have the opportunity to oversee the work of transportation crews and review the work of employees in the administration of construction projects and highway maintenance repairs. Summary of Responsibilities: Plans, assigns, and supervises work for maintenance crews located in Madison, Garrard, Boyle, Anderson, Mercer, Clark, Bourbon and Montgomery. Confers with contractors, materials suppliers, consultants, local officials, departmental engineers, county maintenance, and special operations crews on technical and operational problems. Develops and maintains project or program documentation, estimates project costs, and monitors budget. Develops, implements, and evaluates a training plan for subordinate personnel tasked with traffic control and various work zone installations for and maintenance projects. Works with the Transportation Engineering Branch Manager to identify highway maintenance needs and implement repairs.
