As a Roadway and Highway Design intern during the summer of 2026, you will contribute to engineering projects that involve highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering design software, construction documentation, and collaborative project delivery. The internship will be based in our Glastonbury, CT office and offers opportunities for mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to project sites.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
  • Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from project sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Geopak or 3D Modeling experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to engineering projects involving highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation.
