This role is for a Transportation Engineering - Highway/Roadway Design intern for the summer of 2026. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to projects involving highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation. They will gain hands-on experience in engineering design software, construction documentation, and collaborative project delivery. The internship will be based in the Boston, MA office, offering mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to project sites.

Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering
Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from project sites

Nice To Haves

Geopak or 3D Modeling experience
