About The Position

Regional consulting firm looking to add a talented Transportation Engineer to their Chicago, Illinois area office! This role involves leading and managing technical design for various projects, performing office management duties, client management, and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of experience
• PE License
• Experience working in IDOT project development process, construction documentation and administration
• Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead/manage technical design of various projects including urban/rural roadways, multi-use paths, park designs/developments
• Perform Office Manager duties for office including personnel/job assignments
• Responsible for client management and overall project performance metrics
• Review design plans for compliance with federal, state and local regulations
• Work with project manager to establish project scope, budget, timelines and designs
• Communicate/meet with municipal clients, including cities, utility companies and state agencies
• Mentor/train junior staff
