Transportation Engineer
About The Position
Wilson & Company’s Kansas City, MO office is seeking a Roadway professional with experience in the design of transportation infrastructure, notably streets, highways, and interstates. This role involves performing roadway design and modeling using Open Roads Designer, leading and managing tasks on projects of various sizes, and collaborating with experienced designers, project managers, other disciplines, and subconsultants. The position primarily focuses on projects within the state of the office location, with opportunities to support regional projects. Effective communication and partnership with peers, senior staff, and clients are essential.
Requirements
- 4 - 7 years’ experience in the design of streets and highways in accordance with local, state and/or federal regulations.
- Ability to effectively work with other engineers and technicians.
- Experience in CADD utilizing Open Roads Designer
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Missouri Professional Engineer licensed or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- A background in traffic engineering design and H&H design can be helpful in this role
