About The Position

A multi-state design firm is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer with a focus on Traffic/Technology for their team in Phoenix. This role involves leading and managing innovative traffic engineering and ITS projects, developing and implementing traffic solutions, analyzing traffic data to propose improvements, and supervising junior staff. The position requires staying updated on industry standards and technological advancements, ensuring project compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 8+ years of experience in traffic engineering, traffic operations, or ITS projects
• PE License
• Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
• Working knowledge of software including Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM or other similar software
• Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with design projects and traffic studies preferred
• Local industry knowledge and experience preferred
