About The Position

This role involves administering various construction projects, including paving, bridge work, and major interchange enhancements. The engineer will be responsible for problem-solving and issue resolution to ensure projects meet ODOT’s high standards. The position also entails overseeing a team dedicated to achieving high-quality projects built on time that serve the traveling public.

Requirements

• Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors
• 12 months experience as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lower-level engineers OR 12 months experience in conducting engineering related research (if assigned to staff specialist positions)
• If assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license
• OR 12 months experience as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642 (in addition to being a registered professional engineer)
• Possess Civil Engineering job skills
