About The Position

Reporting to the Transportation and Fleet Operations Manager, the Temporary Transportation Driver provides evening campus safety shuttle transportation as well as daytime transportation for student groups, faculty, and guests of the university. This is an on-campus, non-benefits eligible position, working up to 20 hours per week for approximately eight (8) months. Most driving remains within the state of Connecticut.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
• Valid CT driver’s license (minimum 3 years) and clean driving record.
• Must be flexible to accommodate fluctuating schedules of student groups.
• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• Experience operating 12 passenger vans and 14 passenger mini coaches.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of driving experience.
• Experience transporting students.
• Passenger endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and faculty as scheduled.
• Drop off vehicles for regularly scheduled maintenance.
• Refuel and ensure cleanliness of vehicles at end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
