About The Position
We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and safety-minded Transportation Driver to support our Adult Day Health Center. You’ll help ensure participants get to and from the center safely while providing friendly, respectful assistance throughout the day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum two years of driving experience required.
- Valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to hire.
- Reliable, responsible, and compassionate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience driving vans or transporting passengers preferred, but not required.
- Bilingualism in Haitian Creole preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Haitian Creole preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport participants between their homes, the day center, appointments, and community activities.
- Assist participants with boarding, securing, and exiting the vehicle.
- Assist with transfers and mobility using proper lifting techniques.
- Complete daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
- Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Support program staff with participant care, activities, meals, and general assistance.
- Communicate respectfully with participants, families, and staff.
