About The Position

The Tier II role is for a group of Class A/Transport drivers whose primary responsibilities have a minimal degree of physical activity and customer service focus. The role primarily performs “drop and hook” deliveries. May have a minimal number of customers where more physical activities are required, as well as a higher degree of customer interaction.

Requirements

  • English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be beneficial based on business necessity.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable experience driving Class A commercial vehicle preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
  • Must have a good driving record, according to company requirements.
  • Must Pass clearinghouse.
  • Minimum Age: 21, as per Federal D.O.T. regulations
  • Experience in food/beverage product delivery and customer service preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Must have Class A commercial driver’s license with Air Brake endorsement (must also possess a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with FMCSA Part 391.41 prior to operating a commercial motor vehicle for the company).

Responsibilities

  • Drive truck over established route to deliver the product at customer locations.
  • Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections on trucks to conform to DOT regulations and company policy and assist with routine maintenance on trucks.
  • Exhibit courteousness toward customers, work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors, maintain a neat appearance, and follow established policies and direction of management.
  • Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs as required by DOT.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
  • Must be able to operate a handheld computer.
  • Must be able to operate a powered lift truck (pallet jack).
