About The Position

Dispatches Truck Drivers (CDL and Non-CDL), for conveyance of materials in a safe manner for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities, ensuring emails and phone calls are handled in a timely manner. The role involves maintaining day-to-day operations of the transportation department, meeting Team Member and customer needs, and ensuring all safety rules are complied with. Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
  • One year of customer service experience or dispatch experience required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position

Responsibilities

  • Records and maintains files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
  • Coordinates and effectively communicates with various GCNA divisions.
  • Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used. Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.
  • Orders supplies and equipment, issuing them to Team Members.
  • Maintains the day-to-day operations of the transportation department including meeting Team Member and customer needs.
  • Reads and responds to emails from stores, providing excellent customer service.
  • Dispatches Drivers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Determines types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
  • Communicates power equipment defects to the fleet Services Team.
  • Provides feedback to the Transportation Leaders on day-to-day operations in an effort to maintain and improve business and resolve problems.
  • Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
