Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and PE license required.
8+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
At least 4 years of experience supervising or mentoring technical staff.
Strong understanding of business operations, client relations, and team development.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and client service skills.
Deep knowledge of regulations, standards, and quality management practices.
Valid driver’s license, willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

Evaluates and approves go/no-go decisions for project opportunities.
Maintains high-level client relationships and performs regular project debriefs and client check-ins.
Manages multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success from conception through execution, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Coaches and develops staff, providing timely feedback and addressing issues directly to support long-term success and foster professional growth.
Engages with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to advocate for and promote our transportation initiatives.
Represents Guernsey in professional organizations.
Builds and maintains relationships at the political level necessary to support key pursuits.
Develops a business plan and financial metrics for the region.
Oversees contract terms, scopes, and fees to mitigate risk.
Ensures teams are performing at a high level and have accountability to the goals established in the business plan.
Fosters a culture of safety, compliance, and quality control across all transportation initiatives.
