About The Position

This is a part-time, 1st shift position responsible for coordinating and providing transportation for residents. The role involves assisting residents with boarding and disembarking the bus, including the use of a vehicle lift, and escorting them to and from appointments. The coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the bus, managing transportation requests, planning efficient routes, and ensuring all appointments are accommodated.

Requirements

High School graduate or GED equivalent required
Must hold valid driver’s license
Minimum age of 21 years or older preferred with driving record in good standing
Intermediate computer skills required
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Must demonstrate the ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in driving an Activity bus for the senior population is preferred

Responsibilities

Assist residents on and off the bus, using the vehicle lift, when necessary
Walk residents into their appointment and pick them up from their appointments
Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the bus
Complete any forms necessary for the upkeep of the bus
Take transportation requests and keep track of all appointments
Coordinate multiple transportation requests in one day and accommodate all requests in a reasonable manner
Organize and coordinate directions to maintain the most efficient route
Maintain a calm and professional demeanor when driving the Activity Bus
