About The Position

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a full-time Transportation Coordinator (Driver) to manage their resident-focused transportation program. This role involves not only driving but also coordinating schedules, communicating with residents, and providing operational support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable and safe transportation services for medical appointments, recreational activities, and personal needs, while also contributing to community programming during non-driving hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be 21 years of age.
Minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
Valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
During non-driving hours, provide community support as needed, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks, maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
