About The Position

DonorConnect is looking for a part-time Transportation Coordinator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is a natural delegator, works well independently and collaboratively, has a background in driving or courier services, and is open to working a variety of shifts. This position is for weekend evenings working from 7pm-7am on call for a total of 24 hours each week. DonorConnect is a federally designated nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of organs, tissues, and eyes for life-saving transplants. As a Transportation Coordinator at DonorConnect, you will play a vital role in our life-saving mission. You will work closely with on-call organ and tissue donation coordinators, providing critical transportation services, including the transport of organ personnel, biological samples, and supplies. Due to the sensitive and time-critical nature of organ donation, strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing timelines are essential. You must also be tech-savvy , as the role involves using digital systems for communication, tracking, and documentation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Chauffeur's license required within 90 days of employment
Minimum 5 years of routine driving experience
Excellent driving record
Tech-savvy
Strong critical thinking skills
Ability to adapt to changing timelines
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Previous courier experience preferred
Positions with high levels of interpersonal interaction and communication

Responsibilities

Maintaining a valid driver's license, TSA registration, and other required licenses/certifications
Performing fleet maintenance and vehicle upkeep
Assists the supervisor with projects and reports as needed
Completing all assigned on-call shifts as scheduled
