Provides on-site compliance inspection, quality assurance, and progress monitoring for conformance to plans, contracts, specifications, and codes applicable to the construction operations assigned. Communicates with and advise contractors of discrepancies and the necessary actions to conform to the plans and specifications. Maintains project records including daily diaries documenting work performed by construction contractors. Reports will involve the use of basic algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric calculations and associated sketches. Checks materials and material documents to verify that they have been tested and when required sends additional samples to the client or other testing laboratories for verification. Assists with review of payment applications, final inspections, and creation of punchlists. Communicates effectively and professionally with the client, contractor, traveling public, adjacent property owners, other project stakeholders, and MBP team members. Ensures that highway work zones and traffic control are in compliance with current standards. Performs work of basic to moderate difficulty including materials testing and basic surveying. Performs various administrative duties to include but not limited to a daily timesheet, monthly expense report, and monthly mileage report. Stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions, and be able to safely navigate uneven terrain.
