MBP is seeking a NCDOT Transportation Inspector (Levels 3 & 4) to support transportation construction projects. Candidates will be aligned to a level based on their experience, with responsibilities progressing from entry-level inspection to lead project inspection and guidance of junior technicians. This role involves serving on-site to monitor roadway and structure construction for conformance with plans, contracts, specifications, and codes, providing guidance and recommendations to the project team. The inspector will coordinate with agency and contractor personnel, act as a key point of contact for field observations and documentation, oversee project documentation workflows, and contribute to monthly reporting and estimates. Utilization of client electronic project management systems for tracking materials and test results is required. The position also supports the training and development of junior inspectors and assists with scheduling coordination. Independent judgment is expected within delegated authority, with appropriate escalation of issues.
