About The Position

The Transportation Clerk position ensures that all Store Replenishment and Direct to Customer shipments are created timely to support merchandise flows smoothly through the Distribution Center (DC) operation. Utilizing the Transportation Management System (WMS) and MMS Truck Scheduling the Transportation Clerk manages the workload while communicating with various departments within the Distribution Center, Carriers, and Customer Service Department (CSD). This position requires someone to take initiative and make decisions. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Requirements

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Ability to pass background checks and investigations due to foreign, federal, state and local regulations; based on position responsibility and sensitivity, periodic check and reinvestigations may be performed
Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once

Responsibilities

Utilizes MMS Truck Scheduling to build shipping schedule for Store Replenishment within the Distribution Center to enable planning to allocate freight to the store.
Leverages Transportation Management System to create trucks and systematically communicate them for Store Replenishment and Direct to Customer Shipments
Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
Performs other requested tasks and duties
