About The Position

As a Transportation Engineering Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Cleveland, OH office, you’ll work with our Civil Engineering Practice as a member of our Transportation Group. You will take part in performing traffic impact studies, signal design, and driveway designs for our commercial, institutional, industrial, and energy clients. You will assist in performing traffic analyses and designing improvements for a wide variety of projects that include anything from single intersections to large commercial and industrial developments. You will work with our Project Managers and Principals and have the opportunity to experience how we interact with clients, contractors, and government officials, and you will experience all phases of projects - from the conceptual and design phases through the regulatory review process, bidding, construction, and all the way to ribbon cutting at the grand opening. Through the CEC Internship Program, you will: Acquire practical experience applying knowledge from college courses, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities Collaborate closely with a mentor in your discipline to tackle real-world challenges Participate in workshops to help foster interpersonal skills within the workplace and prepare students for success in their full-time careers

Requirements

Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil or Environmental Engineering program
Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the U.S. without sponsorship.
