About The Position

Parametrix is seeking a Transportation Civil Engineer IV to join their DOT/Tribal Design team. This role will focus on general roadway design and stormwater infrastructure projects for public-sector and tribal clients in Western Washington. The position involves project delivery, client engagement, project management, and mentorship. This role can be based in Puyallup, Seattle, or Silverdale, with a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

• BSCE in Civil Engineering or a related field and 7+ years of experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Previous experience as a Project Manager for transportation projects
• Experience working on projects for one of the following (WSDOT, Tribes, Local Agencies such as Cities and Counties)
• Experience supervising engineering staff
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or stormwater modeling software.
• Familiarity with local and state design manuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support the design and delivery of transportation projects, with a focus on roadway, grading, stormwater and drainage.
• Lead and/or support the preparation of complete PS&E packages.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients through the project lifecycle to incorporate feedback and resolve design challenges.
• Perform QA/QC for engineering deliverables.
