The Transportation Business Operations Assistant 2 will report to the Administration Section within the Traffic Engineering Division in Kanawha County. This position serves as the Administrative Services Assistant to the Programming and Reporting Lead, providing critical administrative, clerical, and technical support to ensure the efficient operation of the section's core functions within the Agency. Key responsibilities include providing direct administrative and clerical support for project programming tasks, such as assisting with data entry and document handling related to initiating new projects, processing change orders, and managing phase closures in the Highway Division State and Federal Project Programming Application. The incumbent will perform clerical duties essential to the section's financial functions, including assisting with the timely review and administrative action needed for reports like the inactive report; supporting financial administration tasks such as processing deposits for development-funded projects; assisting with the preparation of budgetary reports, and monitoring expenditures. The role also requires providing clerical support for purchasing, including examining purchasing requests for administrative conformity to specifications and budgeted amounts, and managing and maintaining transactions for the divisional P-Card holder, which includes ordering office supplies. Performs related duties as required.
