Requirements

  • CDL with passenger endorsement
  • Must be comfortable driving longer distances, including trips that may extend up to approximately four hours round-trip
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility needs and safely operate transportation equipment
  • Good driving record that meets insurance company requirements
  • CPR certified or willing to achieve

Responsibilities

  • Driving groups of up to 24 passengers — including both ambulatory and wheelchair residents — to destinations throughout the Cedar Falls, Jesup, Grundy Center, Ackley, and Madrid areas as needed.
  • Provide quality punctual transportation services for residents traveling to appointments, events and activities.
  • Complete required documentation for services in a timely manner.
  • Assist residents with safe and efficient loading and unloading including any medical equipment.
  • Interact with residents in a friendly and positive demeanor, supporting residents in creating enjoyable and engaging community experiences.
  • Operate transportation vehicles safely while ensuring passenger comfort and security.
  • Spend meaningful one-on-one time with residents while helping create a positive and enjoyable experience during each trip.
