About The Position

A growing industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Transportation Analyst to support transportation planning, logistics coordination, and supply chain operations across multiple facilities. This role works closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to help ensure efficient freight movement, inventory flow, and alignment with production schedules. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment. The position offers strong exposure to transportation strategy, carrier coordination, inventory planning, and operational analytics while supporting On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance and cost-control initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or operations support
  • Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within transportation and supply chain operations
  • Proactive and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or transportation environments preferred
  • Internship or early-career supply chain experience considered
  • Experience with ERP, TMS, or WMS systems preferred
  • SAP exposure is a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered

Responsibilities

  • Support daily transportation planning for inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods
  • Coordinate shipments with carriers, vendors, and internal operations teams
  • Assist in identifying cost-effective transportation methods while maintaining service levels
  • Help support OTIF delivery performance across transportation operations
  • Assist with shipment load planning within ERP and transportation systems
  • Monitor purchase orders and sales orders from planning through delivery
  • Maintain transportation schedules, reporting, and shipment documentation
  • Monitor shipment activity, inventory movement, and production schedules
  • Analyze transportation and logistics data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support operational decision-making during supply or production changes
  • Assist with freight cost tracking and reporting
  • Partner with operations and warehouse teams to support inventory flow across facilities
  • Assist with inventory positioning and transportation scheduling to support production demands
  • Help coordinate inventory transitions and material movement activities
  • Support trailer scheduling, dock coordination, and yard communication activities
  • Assist with carrier issue resolution and shipment tracking
  • Help ensure transportation activities align with operational and safety expectations
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance teams
  • Support reporting and communication related to transportation and logistics performance
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on service, cost, and operational efficiency
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
