About The Position

Trinity Landing is hiring a part-time Transportation Aide/Driver to support safe, reliable transportation and related facility operations in accordance with federal and state standards and regulations, as well as LSC and facility philosophies, objectives, and policies. The role coordinates transportation for medical appointments, helps ensure that relevant medical information is shared with providers and facility staff, and delivers laboratory samples and other materials to medical facilities. It also includes vehicle upkeep and recordkeeping, courier services, and relief support for business office personnel as assigned. Transportation experience is preferred but not required. The position pays $16.00 per hour or more depending on experience. Typical hours will be discussed during the interview, and occasional after-hours transportation may be required. Applicants must have a clean, acceptable driving record, which will be reviewed regularly.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with the industry, including common terminology, equipment, requirements, and guidelines.
Ability to read and write English well enough to understand business correspondence and policy statements.
Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively with staff, outside vendors, physicians, and others.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and email.
Valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
Current proof of insurability.
Acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with the Driver’s License/Motor Vehicle Records Review policy; motor vehicle records will be reviewed regularly.
Ability to lift 35 pounds and perform bending and reaching tasks.
Ability to assist with transferring and repositioning individuals of various weights by following established safe-lifting procedures.
Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with facility staff regarding medical appointments outside the facility.
Ensure appropriate medical information is provided to medical providers and facility staff as needed.
Communicate pertinent medical information and follow-up care to facility staff.
Deliver laboratory samples and other materials to hospitals or medical facilities as needed.
Maintain the facility vehicle usage log and promptly report vehicle malfunctions.
Keep the vehicle fuel level sufficient for its next use.
Provide courier services between area facilities as needed.
Provide relief support for business office personnel as necessary, including answering phones, delivering mail, and greeting visitors, as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
Submit billing charges and mileage information to Accounts Receivable.
Perform other duties necessary for the orderly operation of the facility.
