About The Position
The Transportation Aide position is a part of the Auxiliary/Transportation department and is available for the 2026-2027 School Year. The role involves working with children, including those with disabilities, on a school bus, ensuring their safety and behavior management. The position requires a valid Texas driver's license and the ability to lift and assist students.
Requirements
- Valid Texas driver's license (Class C)
- A minimum of one year working with children in a school setting environment
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively
- Ability to operate safety equipment and adaptive equipment
- Ability to work well with children with disabilities
- Ability to lift and assist students when necessary, must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to maintain and carry out effective pupil behavior
- Ability to handle discipline on a school bus with small and large groups of children
- Able to lift, push or pull over 50 lbs.
- Copy of current driver's license
