About The Position
JeffTemps, Jefferson's internal temporary service, is seeking experienced Transportation Aides to support our patient transportation team in Center City. We invite you to be a part of a select team committed to superior care.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent or 3 years’ experience required.
- Basic Life Support Certification
Responsibilities
- Transports patients to their inpatient beds and/or to other areas such as surgery, therapy or radiology in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintains and cleans equipment.
- Complies with established PPE requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation and other hazardous substances.
- Abides by all Infection Control Policies i.e. Hand Hygiene, Equipment Decontamination.
- Transport of patient: includes lifting and moving patient, movement to designation with appropriate equipment.
- Monitor's patient's status in route and responds to change in patient condition.
- Decontaminates equipment after each transport in compliance with Equipment Contamination Policy.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
