About The Position

TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Driver to join their community at Summit Place of South Park. This role is responsible for providing timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while ensuring quality service. The assistant will help disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle, secure wheelchairs, and safely operate communication devices. They will also be responsible for maintaining community vehicles, including cleaning, fueling, and performing regular inspections and documentation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 21 years or older.
Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Providing timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while providing quality service.
Assisting disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
Securing passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
Safely operating radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
Maintaining all community vehicles in good working condition.
Cleaning and servicing vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
Assisting with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
Inspecting and documenting vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
