About The Position

The Transport Support Worker provides transportation and visitation support for children and families involved in the child welfare system. The role promotes children’s well-being and includes participating in staff meetings and trainings and coordinating with other agencies providing Permanency Services. The worker connects families to resources and helps build healthy, long-lasting relationships while advocating for children and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in child and family services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility and punctuality.
• Commitment to advocating for children and families.
• Evening availability for at least one day a week.
• Work at least one day per weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation and visitation support for children and families involved in the child welfare system.
• Promote the well-being of children.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Coordinate with other agencies providing Permanency Services.
• Connect families to resources that can improve their lives.
• Advocate for children and their families.
