About The Position

Peak Thermo King is seeking a dedicated, hardworking technician with experience in the transport refrigeration equipment repair field. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, committed to quality work, and a quick learner. Peak Industrial Company, a family-owned and operated business, comprises four different businesses spanning across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Texas. They are a dealership for and sell, rent, and repair Thermo King transport refrigeration equipment, trailer sales and repair, JCB construction equipment, and Club Car, Golf, and Utility Vehicles. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment
  • Experience operating an over the road service truck and capable of running one after 3-6 months of employment
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the employer's insurance policy
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety
  • Familiar with Thermo King, Carrier, and other transport refrigeration equipment
  • Have good verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Certified to use refrigerants, R134a, R404, R410, and others as needed
  • May be required to use a laptop computer to diagnose and/or reference repair manuals
  • May work in a shop, at our yard or out of a mobile service vehicle
  • Must be willing to be in an emergency after-hours on-call rotation
  • Willingness to perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by management

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance procedures and repairs on Thermo King, Carrier and other refrigeration equipment for trucks, trailers and containers with little or no supervision
  • Diagnose and repair/replace compressors, coils, electrical components, etc…
  • Use diagnostic equipment to flash controller, diagnose alarms, implement repairs, etc…
  • Use repair orders to record all work performed and submit on a daily basis
  • Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
  • Follow established procedures to track work and complete forms connected with work assignments
  • Ensure timely completion of work according to company regulations and procedures, and instruction from Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
