About The Position

TCI Maintenance is hiring an experienced Reefer / Transport Refrigeration Technician in Liberty Hill, Texas! This role is for individuals experienced in transport refrigeration, Thermo King, Carrier Transicold, or diesel-powered refrigeration systems. TCI is a family-owned transportation company with over 45 years of experience, focused on employee development and building long-term careers. The ideal candidate may have a background in transport refrigeration, commercial refrigeration, or diesel repair with refrigeration experience.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of mechanical or refrigeration experience, with 3+ years preferred.
• Experience with transport refrigeration systems, including Thermo King or Carrier Transicold, highly desirable.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing refrigeration components.
• EPA Section 608 certification required and must remain current.
• Ability to use industry tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document repairs.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• ASE certifications a plus.
• CDL with air brake qualifications preferred, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair transport refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigerated trailers and refrigeration units.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues.
• Repair and overhaul refrigeration components as needed.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable environmental regulations.
• Work alongside a team committed to quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
