About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Reefer Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. While your primary focus will be keeping our refrigeration units and heating units running, you will also be a key part of our trailer maintenance team. Shift will be on our weekday night shift, Monday to Thursday, 2100-0730.
Requirements
- Solid experience troubleshooting refrigeration and heating units.
- Proven experience in general trailer repair and maintenance.
- A "team-first" attitude and the willingness to switch between specialized reefer work and general mechanical tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Licensed Trailer Technicians are highly preferred and will be compensated accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair components on refrigeration and heating units, including compressors, motors, controls, and evaporators.
- Conduct routine inspections, test for leaks, and calibrate systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Safely handle, recover, and recharge systems with refrigerants (e.g., R-22, R-410A).
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams and wiring schematics to diagnose control systems.
- Use welding and brazing equipment to connect or repair piping and refrigerant lines.
