About The Position

Keep trucks and equipment running efficiently. This role involves traveling between Kokomo and Muncie locations to work on equipment, ensuring the service truck is safe and in running condition. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing basic engine components, performing basic electrical troubleshooting and repair, changing tires, making brake adjustments, and fixing lights. The mechanic will also perform preventative/corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers, maintain accurate maintenance documentation, and operate a forklift, truck, and trailer. Additionally, the role requires welding and fabrication as needed, making recommendations for process system improvements, and adhering to industrial safety and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years experience with general knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements.
• A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more consistently.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Must be highly self-motivated.
• Team player dedicated to the organization
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

Nice To Haves

• Class A CDL license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel between Kokomo and Muncie locations to work on equipment.
