About The Position

Our van drivers provide curb to curb services for the elderly and disabled, ensuring they travel safely and comfortably to and from their destinations. This is a part-time position with approximately 15-20 hours per week, primarily during weekdays (Mon-Fri). Flexibility with start and end times is required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license
• Must be able to pass various background checks
• CPR/FA certified
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Complete and pass all mandatory on-line training
• Provide timely transport of passengers in Erie County
• Ensure passenger feels secure and respected throughout their journey
• Maintain a friendly and compassionate demeanor, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere
• Follow all safety protocols when using the wheelchair ramp to assist passengers on and off. Make sure to engage the wheelchair parking brake or turn off the power wheelchair, and ensure that appropriate safety equipment and devices are utilized.
• Ensure the van is well-maintained by performing daily checks
• Maintain a precise log of your journeys and mileage using mobile app
• Submit monthly travel reports
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor may include assisting the facility manager with maintaining the property inside and out
