This position involves driving a tractor/trailer truck for long-distance pick-ups and deliveries of finished products or materials/supplies. The driver is responsible for checking and/or assisting in the loading/unloading of the trailer, obtaining proper authorization for all deliveries/pick-ups, and inspecting the vehicle for safe operating conditions before and after each trip. The role requires maintaining a DOT driver's log and adhering to all DOT regulations. Drivers will spend multiple nights away, sleeping in sleeper cabs, and may be required to drive in adverse weather conditions. Physical demands include working with tractor/trailer components, bending, cranking landing gear, climbing in and out of cabs, sitting for extended periods, and lifting cases weighing 20-45 pounds if they fall in the trailer. A CDL license is required.
